About Us

Our Story

Real Gear. Real People. Real Outback.

Outback Clothing Co. isn’t just a workwear brand. It’s a business built by people who live the life you live.

We’re Matt and Mel, a husband-and-wife team born and bred on the land. Like many of you, we’ve juggled droughts, dirt roads, family life, and long days under the sun. We’ve run farms, raised kids, and spent more time fixing fences and chasing cattle than sitting at desks. Outback Clothing Co. started when we saw a simple but serious problem: decent gear was hard to find, and even harder to get delivered to where it was actually needed.

So we rolled up our sleeves and fixed it.

From the Bush, For the Bush

This business began in the middle of a drought, in a shed, with a few boxes of stock and a whole lot of determination. We started supplying mates, neighbours, and station crews with tough, reliable gear that actually arrived and actually lasted. Today, we serve farmers, fencers, truckies, station cooks, young jackaroos, townies, and everyone in between — from Cape York to Ceduna.

We don’t sell fashion. We sell function. Everything we stock is chosen for one reason: because it works out here. If it doesn’t hold up to dust, heat, fencing wire and four-hour drives to the nearest servo, we won’t sell it.

Why We Do It

We believe rural Australians deserve more than being an afterthought. That’s why we’ve built a business that puts the bush first — from our gear to our service, our sponsorships to our delivery routes.

We’re proud supporters of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Rural Aid, and rodeos right across the country. Not because it looks good, but because these are the services and communities that keep us all going.

Outback Clothing Co. is about more than clothes. It’s about connection. It’s about showing up for each other, knowing someone’s got your back, and making rural life just that little bit easier, one order, one yarn, one delivery at a time.
