We want you to feel confident ordering from Outback Clothing Co. This policy explains the difference between a change-of-mind return and a return involving a faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied item.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer legislation.
This section applies when:
you ordered the wrong size;
an item does not fit as expected;
you selected the wrong colour or style;
you no longer want the item; or
you would prefer a different product.
You may request a change-of-mind return within 20 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible, the item must be:
unworn, unused and unwashed;
in its original condition;
returned with all original tags attached;
free from marks, odours, pet hair, make-up and other signs of wear;
returned in its original packaging where applicable; and
accompanied by proof of purchase.
Footwear must only have been tried on indoors. Footwear must be returned unmarked and in its original shoe box. Please do not attach postage labels or tape directly to the shoe box.
Approved change-of-mind returns are issued as Outback Clothing Co store credit. We do not provide cash refunds for change-of-mind returns.
Before sending anything back, please email:
sales@outbackclothingco.com.au
Please include:
your name;
your order number;
the item you wish to return; and
the reason for the return.
We will confirm whether the return is eligible and provide the appropriate return instructions.
Please do not send an item back before receiving return instructions. Unauthorised returns may be delayed or returned to the sender.
Customers are responsible for the cost of returning change-of-mind items.
We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service. Outback Clothing Co is not responsible for returned parcels that are lost or damaged before reaching us.
Original delivery charges are not included in change-of-mind store credit.
Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.
When approved, store credit will be issued for the amount paid for the returned item, after discounts and excluding original delivery charges.
Store credit can be used to place a new order for another size, colour, style or product.
We do not currently process direct exchanges.
To obtain another size or product, return the eligible item for store credit and use the credit to place a new order.
Because stock may sell out while your return is being processed, you may choose to place a new order immediately and use the store credit on a future purchase.
We do not accept change-of-mind returns for:
personalised, embroidered, printed, altered or custom-made products;
corporate, uniform, bulk or specially sourced orders;
products supplied under an accepted quotation;
gift cards;
items purchased at rodeos, shows, exhibitions, pop-up shops or other events, unless otherwise agreed;
items specifically marked “Final Sale”; or
products that cannot be resold for hygiene, health or safety reasons.
Promotional or discounted products may be returned for store credit unless they are clearly marked “Final Sale”.
These exclusions apply only to change-of-mind returns. They do not exclude any rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods under applicable consumer law.
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if:
an item arrives damaged;
you receive the wrong product;
the item has a manufacturing fault;
the item is significantly different from its description; or
the product otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Email sales@outbackclothingco.com.au with:
your name and order number;
a description of the problem; and
clear photographs showing the issue, where appropriate.
We may need to inspect or assess the product before determining the appropriate remedy.
Depending on the nature and seriousness of the problem, the available remedy may include a repair, replacement, refund or another remedy required under applicable consumer law.
Where you are legally entitled to a refund, it will not be limited to store credit. The refund will generally be returned through the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required.
Faulty products do not need to be unused or returned in their original packaging for you to exercise your consumer rights.
Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, Outback Clothing Co will cover or reimburse reasonable return postage costs as required by applicable consumer law.
A repair, replacement or refund may not be available where the problem was caused by:
misuse or accidental damage;
normal wear and tear;
failure to follow care or washing instructions;
alterations made after purchase; or
use of the product for a purpose for which it was not designed.
Change-of-mind returns are not ordinarily accepted for purchases made at rodeos, shows, exhibitions, pop-up shops or other events.
This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.
Please retain your receipt or other proof of purchase.
Personalised, embroidered, printed, altered, specially sourced, corporate, bulk and quoted orders cannot be returned because of a change of mind, incorrect size selection or change in requirements once production or sourcing has commenced.
These restrictions do not exclude any rights that apply where the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or does not match the agreed order.
