Who is behind Outback Clothing Co, and where are you based?
We are a family owned Australian business run by Matt and Mel, a husband and wife team who have spent most of their lives running cattle farms across regional Australia. Outback Clothing Co was born out of drought, tough seasons, and a desire to support people who live and work on the land. We are based in North Queensland and provide clothing across Australia for cattle stations, farms, and rural communities. When you shop with us, you are supporting a small Australian business that understands outback life firsthand.
What products and brands do you stock?
We stock practical country clothing and gear for men, women, and kids, including shirts, jeans, shorts, winter wear, footwear, workwear, headwear, and safety gear. You will also find accessories like belts, belt buckles, wallets, gear bags, gift certificates, and more, along with horse gear and a dedicated dog shop. We proudly carry trusted names such as Wrangler, Swanndri, Kidman, Rossi, Workcraft, Drizabone, Burke & Wills, Boss Cocky, and Dolan’s, as well as our own Outback Clothing Co range that is built for cattle stations, rodeos, and real rural life.
How does shipping work, and do you offer free shipping?
We use Australia Post standard delivery for orders shipped across Australia and may use other trusted carriers when it helps get your parcel to you more reliably. For products stocked in our own warehouse, orders typically leave within 3 to 5 business days, with slightly longer timeframes during busy sale or holiday periods. You will receive tracking details for orders that leave directly from our warehouse, while some partner warehouse items may not have tracking available. Once a parcel leaves us, delivery times are in the hands of the carrier, but we are happy to follow up with them and keep you updated if there are any issues. We offer free shipping when you spend $150 or more, and orders can be delivered anywhere in Australia.
What is your returns and refund policy?
You have 20 days from receiving your order to request a return. Items must be in original condition, unworn or unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging, and you will need your receipt or proof of purchase. Some items are final sale and cannot be returned, including personalised or custom items, sale items, goods purchased at rodeos, shows, or events, items sold via quotes, and gift cards. If your return is accepted, we will give you instructions on where to send it, and once it is received and inspected, approved refunds are processed as store credit, so you can choose something that suits you better. For customers in the European Union, there is a 14 day cooling off period that allows you to cancel or return orders shipped into the EU within that timeframe, provided the items are still in original condition.
What if I ordered the wrong size or need to change an item?
We do not offer direct exchanges at the moment. The best approach is to lodge a return within 20 days, provided the item is in original condition with tags, then once the return is accepted you will receive store credit and can place a new order for the size or style you prefer. If you are unsure about sizing or fit before you buy, you are very welcome to get in touch and we can help you choose the right gear for your needs.
What payment methods do you accept, and is checkout secure?
You can shop online with major payment options including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Union Pay, with Afterpay also available. Our store runs on Shopify’s secure platform, and you can shop confidently online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can you help me find specific gear or bulk supplies for my farm or station?
Yes. If you are chasing something specific such as bore pumps, fencing materials, fertiliser, or hard to find supplies, you can use our Finder Service. Send through the details, and a photo if you have one, and we will track it down, provide a quote, and organise delivery anywhere in Australia. This service is designed to save you time so you can stay focused on running your farm or station while we handle the sourcing and logistics.
